There are times when we need a little extra help in working through deeper wounds that cannot be addressed in a short twenty minute session. We can schedule a time to meet with you and a small team for some deeper intercessory prayer. There may be an old wound that needs to be prayed through. There may be some old hang-ups that need to be addressed and brought out into the open. Often there are roots of unforgiveness that the Holy Spirit may reveal that can be worked through in prayer. Sometimes, we allow a foothold for the enemy to get a part of our life and we find that in times like these sessions, we can reclaim much of that lost territory.
These sessions may take around two hours. These experiences may require more than one session but we often see things resolved fairly quickly and we believe that by receiving in this work and participating in the process, you will be able to work with the Holy Spirit and guide yourself through the process. This time will be soaked with His presence as we follow His lead through some written prayers and allow the Holy Spirit to reveal specific areas that need to be addressed with His touch. While we don’t claim a specific model to follow, we are experienced with a variety of proposed methods and believe that the Holy Spirit uses them all in a fashion He finds fitting for the person receiving His touch. What you would want to know is that all of these particular models focus on embracing the Father’s love and helping the recipient leave feeling that love from the Father and taking it with them as they go.
Before a session is started, we ask the participant to do a little homework. The home work will be a questionnaire designed to give the team some background and some reading for the receiver to gain some perspective on what to expect during the time with the team. In session, there will be one leader with a couple of intercessors. The leader will be the one person leading the receiver in prayer and the intercessors will jot down notes about particular verses, notions, and ideas to share with the leader who will then relay what is relevant to the receiver. All members of the team are there to help facilitate the session but to reduce clutter, distraction, and commotion, we ask that only the leader speak directly to the person and pray out loud while in session.
We ask the receiver to share ideas, thoughts, impressions, and emotions that they may be experiencing throughout the process. Those thoughts and impressions, we believe, are present to help guide the team on what should be addressed next and also for confirmation that the process is yielding the desired fruit. Sometimes we see physical healing happen as a result of the time together. Sometimes we see the person set free from besetting sins. Often the person is freed from old hurts and bitterness. We have always seen people leave with an experience of having been touched by God through the process and we trust that He will continue to work in the life of the receiver for continued physical, emotional, and spiritual healing.
